Session: WA105 Change Is Good….You Go First: Empowering the 21st Century Educational Leader This session will demonstrate how educational leaders can be the "Agents of Change" alongside the students. We can transforms teaching and learning into an active process by learning how to use the Digital Tools that our Digital Kids use every day. It enables students to easily go beyond the narrow confines of the 'safe' knowledge base of their academic discipline to applying themselves to whatever they encounter in the post education world.
School district leaders will discover the skills they need to lead effective ed-tech programs and the tools and resources they need to understand the transformation role of educational technology, as well as to lay out a blueprint for technology leadership and action. It will help leaders strengthen school district leadership and communication, infuse 21st-century skills into the curriculum, create engaging learning environments and support professional development.
"If you want Change…be the Change"…learn how to be effective in your efforts to begin with a visionary perspective from the top, which then permeates through every level of your district. If we desire to change our classrooms to develop 21st Century skills we must empower our educational leaders and students by giving them more control over their own learning.

Properly used, technology will help students acquire the skills they need to survive in a complex, highly technological knowledge-based economy.
