Dear Howie,

Your presentation was spectacular and your passion really hammered the content home.  You really summed up the essence of the FETC.  Bill Nye's presentation would have been a wonderful follow-up to your opening.

I teach children with severe to profound physical and cognitive disabilities.  I have a class of eleven boys who challenge me daily to think outside the box.

Your presentation was so powerful and the content so relevant to education today that I would love to challenge key persons back at my district to become more involved. I want to ignite some fires and re-charge some batteries and I think your disk would be a useful tool to help me in that goal.

 Thank you for your inspiration.

 Sincerely,

Hi Howie,

Again, I want to thank you for your outstanding work with us and I want to thank you for the great training on Wednesday.

 Howie,
Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that we have several teachers and classrooms that are already incorporating strategies that you introduced at the training you provided in Julesburg.

The teachers and students are excited by the new teaching and learning experiences.  Thanks so much for your assistance it is making a difference and I know sometimes when you present you never know if what you are doing makes a difference.

We are proud of the academic achievement of our students and as district do very well but we are constantly trying to improve and the training you provided will definitely help us stay at the top and hopefully improve on our abilities to reach all students.  Once again thanks so much for your efforts and keep up your important evangalistic mission of transforming education.

Shawn Ehnes,   Julesburg School District

 Howie,

As for feedback from the schools, the only thing I have heard is, “This was the best professional development we have ever done!”

I am looking forward to setting up some smaller sessions through WAVES and CILC.  Thank you Howie!

Howie.

I'm so glad that you are one of the people out there "evangelizing" our teachers! We need people to think about what they are doing beyond button pushing....and I think you do that very well!

Smiles,

Howie-

It was a pleasure to meet you as well. I am such a big fan of "Did you know?" I look forward to reconnecting when you come up for air.

In the meantime, please consider going on to "Route 21", a new feature on our website(www.21stcenturyskills.org/route21) and proposing some content on the success stories you are familiar with.

Thanks. Look forward to re-connecting down the road.

Mr. DiBlasi: I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation at FETC.  It was one of the best I have seen there.  I came back to school today and shared your fabulous information with my colleagues.

Thanks again for a great 50 minutes at FETC!

Dear Howie,

Your FETC presentation was awesome beyond words. I came back to Miami and gave my Regional Superintendent a copy of, what I call the “closer” piece of your presentation that tells why education must change the curriculum to address this growth now.  Without a doubt, that piece is the most compelling document for change in education. My fingers are crossed that I will be able to use for change in our District.

I look forward to seeing you again in Atlanta this summer.

Sincerely,

 Lani Dorrell, Technology Specialist

Hello Mr. DiBlasi.

My name is Robert Deneau and I am a 4th grade teacher at Fairway Elementary in St. Louis, Missouri.  I attended your session at the Florida Educational Technology Conference on 21st Century Learning and was blown away by your great presentation.

You showed me insight into many things with your great statistics.  I am presenting at the Midwest Education Technology Conference in St. Louis, Missouri in February.  I am writing to seek permission to use parts of a PowerPoint that were on the CD that I received.  I would like to use parts of the 8 minute presentation called "Did You Know".  My presentation is about the use of Podcasting, Blogging, and digital video in the elementary classroom, and there are some things on that presentation that will enhance my presentation greatly.  Of course, I would provide you credit for your work.  If I would be able to use parts of your presentation, please let me know

Hi Howie,

I want you to know how much I enjoyed your presentation.  It made an impact on me and I’ve shared it with my school.  I’d like to use the video clip, Did You Know, with my faculty and parents.

I thought those statements had a startling affect.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the quick response Howie.  I have already begun to share the message.  In fact I used some of it this morning during an interview I had with Teacher of the Year review committee.  Being a part o the team is an honor.  We have much to accomplish.

Thanks for your re-charge.

It was great.
